BANAC About Us

Vision Statement

Barrie Area Native Advisory Circle (BANAC) collectively serves as a regional social planning organization based upon the concepts of life long learning, self determination, and community participation. We are dedicated to promoting a holistic approach to address common concerns of all member communities. We will instill the importance of the Anishnabe language, wisdom and knowledge in all our endeavors.

About BANAC

Since its inception in 1989 BANAC has actively developed and delivered a number of initiatives throughout Simcoe County, Muskoka, and northern York Region. Our primary objective is to serve as a regional social health and planning organization functioning as an incubator of ideas in areas where a strong regional voice is needed.

Our current initiatives include Aboriginal community development in the areas of child care, health planning, social development, and support to seniors and families.
